Where We Are

Middlebury Hills is located in the beautiful rolling hills of Wisconsin’s Driftless Area, which was left untouched by glaciers. Our name comes from a settlement that was located less than a quarter mile from the farm. Middlebury once boasted a church, school, post office, general store, and cheese factory. The school is now a home, but the church, like our own farm, has been recently restored after sitting empty since the 1960s. It’s worth seeing when you visit the farm.

Depending on your route, the 35-minute drive from Madison will take you through the base of the Jones Valley or along the valley ridge, with beautiful views of Blue Mounds, the highest point in Wisconsin.

Valley route: Take 18-151 to County Highway K, just outside Barneveld. Turn south on K. Approximately 6 miles down K, turn left on County Road H. We are the first farm on the left.

Ridge route: Take 18-151 to County Highway F, just outside Blue Mounds. Turn south on F, and follow F as it separates from Z and veers to the right. Take F all the way to County Road H. Turn right, pass County Road HK and the Middlebury Church, and look for the next barn on your right.
